Big hair and big tunes
Friday, the Ottobar's having its St. Patty's Day show instead of next Monday. Good call. I'm all about St. Patrick's Day, but mid-week hangovers are no fun. So be good, and drink all your green beer now before they run out. The Mishaps and The Hot Pursuit are playing Sonar also on Friday. Neil of the Mishaps has got to be Baltimore's happiest rocker. I've never met anyone in a semi-popular, local band who smiles in a genuine-seeming way as much as he does. Plus he has a big red head of hair if you're into minimalism in the way of celebrating St. Patty's. The Hot Pursuit? Well, they have a drummer with a white-man afro, 'nuff said? The Sidebar's '60s inspired dance party Reaction is busting out with big hair Friday, as well. I'm just in Texas by way of Nevada, so I'm seeing a whole lot of big hair (and my Mom, too, though my Mom doesn't have big hair).
